Ministry Highlights Fall 2011
Argentina in early October: This was the 25th anniversary celebration of a time of revival in one of the largest churches in South America, pastored by Hector Gimenez. God healed people during worship times, including one young lady who had frequent, chronic migraine headaches. The migraines disappeared when God touched her. We also visited MEDEA Church in Cordoba. For the Sunday evening service, 12,000 people were in attendance – a packed house. I’ve never been in a church service that lasted 7 hours before! Actually, I was only ministering for a few hours, leading worship with acoustic guitar. Most of the songs were not familiar to the people, nor were there words projected on a screen. But many people entered into worship and connected with God. The Central Coast of California in early November. My daughter, Jessica (19 years old) came with me to lead worship on this weekend. We led a one-day retreat at the Santa Maria Vineyard for about 80 people involved on worship teams from churches in that region. Many people were touched and encouraged by the Holy Spirit as we asked God for renewed vision and empowering. The next morning at the Goleta Vineyard was a really good time. I shared about experiences I’ve had praying for people out in public areas in my city in the last year, encouraging everyone to be “fishers of men.” Mark 1:17 - Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” The Christian Musicians Summit in Seattle. I shared at a workshop for budding songwriters, reviewing and critiquing their songs and I taught on “Maintaining Healthy Relationships in Worship Ministry” and “Preparing and Delivering a Worship Set.”
